Regan entered the corner store; the bell to the place rang as she entered the door slamming behind her, wearing a black bomber jacket, a dark army green tank, black skinny jeans and worn out red converse, her dark brown hair was cut short as usual and her bangs to one side. Her brown eyes searched around, hoping the person behind the counter didn’t notice. They didn’t, just as Regan had hoped. She had been really low on cash; the tattoo parlor wasn’t too busy this past month. People just didn’t get inked like they used too, but then again this city wasn’t really known for its money spenders. The store was dead; it should be on a Saturday night at ten o’clock at night.

The lights near the junk food aisle flickered slightly, making Regan uneasy. Creepy place, the girl behind the counter didn’t take notice. She had her face buried in a trash magazine. Regan went up into the junk food aisle, unzipping her black bomber jacket she quickly shoved in a bag of chips and a small box of junior’s mints. She loved junior mints, and if she didn’t have the money, hell she was stealing it. Zipping her jacket back up her red converse squeaked against the white polished floor as she dragged her feet seeing what else she could shove into her little bomber.

Tally was in a good mood today. She almost felt on top of the world. But she knew that eventually that would end, and she was just waiting for it. As she was picking out something to eat for dinner, she turned to see the person in the aisle next to her. It was rather attractive young woman, at least to her. Any boy wouldn't find her so endearing. She looked like a boy, that's why. But Tally liked that.

She spotted the girl stealing, but didn't say anything. Instead she casually followed her to the next aisle. The tiny brunette came close to the girl and picked out a box from the shelf right by her head. She leaned in as she did this and whispered in the girl's ear.

"Now do you really think that's a good idea, darling?"

Regan was looking at boxes of different junk foods when she heard a girl’s voice in her ear and a warm breathe upon her skin. Regan jumped and turned around causing small items on the shelf to fall onto the floor; the cashier girl looked up from the magazine, but then quickly went back to it. She cursed under her breath before her brown eyes looked the girl over, she was stunning but Regan knew from past experiences that she was most likely straight or dating a dude. Regan was never really open about her sexuality, but then again she was never sure about it either. “Ya…” she began her eyes looking down at her hands before she shoved them into the pockets of her bomber “you would too if you were barely surviving on shit” she looked back up to the girl as she finished her sentence. It was a sort of crappy excuse, but it was all that Regan could think of at that moment.

She got a good look at the girl's face now. Wasn't she just adorable? Tally already felt a little turned on by her, but she kept that deep down somewhere where it wouldn't show. She put on a sweet smile, which was fairly genuine, and helped her pick up the stuff off the shelf.

"I'll pay for it." She told her. "I'm Talulah by the way."

Why was she doing this? She felt like being nice, and her current foster family was loaded. They had enough to share. Maybe it was a little charity like, but she didn't care. This girl was cute and seemed a little troubled. Tally should have been smart and realized that was the bad kind of person to get involved with, but she wasn't.

Regan’s eyes widened when the girl offered to pay, really wow. That was a really nice thing for her to do; it was one of the not so many nice things that happened to Regan since she moved here. “Umm, sure thanks” she said picking up what she wanted, two boxes of junk food and a drink. She then started down the aisle to the counter to let the girl pay. Tellulah that was a nice name the girl had. Better then the boy sounding name Regan had, still. Once she reached the counter she didn’t bother to remove the box she had slipped into her bomber earlier before. Instead she placed the items she had in her hands upon the counter, the cashier girl slid the magazine aside and offered Regan a faint smile. Regan did the same before turning to face the girl she had just met “I’m Regan by the way, lived her for abit, I’m a tattoo artist” she said wanting to show this Tallulah her arms, but she was afraid if she did the box in her bomber would fall out. She decided against it.

"Oh, really? A tattoo artist?" Tally grinned as she put down her own things. She motioned to the cashier that everything was taken care of by her. She handed the lady her card and then took it back when it was all said and done. Looked like their conversation might as well be over, but Tally really didn't want it to be.

As she picked up her bags, she said. "So you think you could walk me home? I was thinking about getting a tattoo. Maybe you could help me decide and what prices to pay." She was very hopeful that this girl would go with her. Perhaps she could even convince her to come inside, but that was a long shot. Tally was a little overoptimistic, but it didn't matter. It was an opportunity. She never missed one.

Reagan exited the corner store; she looked over her shoulder to the dark haired girl. "Sure, I guess I have nowhere else to be" she stated hoping that would give the girl a hint that Regan really had no place to be. At times she'd find herself sleeping in a motel, but a fellow artist at the parlor was moving into an apartment. He had offered Regan a room-mate spot. Regan would take it, if he ever hurried up on moving his ass. As she started to walk with the plastic bag filled with the stuff the girl had bought for her she smirked. "Ya know, I appreciate this, it's nice of ya, thanks" she said thanking Talulah once more. She slowed her pace down so the other girl could catch up. Regan wondered if the girl was actually serious about getting a tattoo, once you got it, it never came off. Well, only with expensive laser shit, but she was sure this girl didn’t want to pay that. “So what you got in mind?” Regan asked looking to the girl.

"I want thin vines down my spine with rose buds." She told her. She knew it'd cost a lot, but she wasn't beneath stealing from her foster parents. What would they notice if a couple hundred bucks went missing? "Maybe branching out onto my shoulder blades."

It was true Tally was sort of just humoring her, but she did want a tattoo. She was just too much of a pussy to do it. Maybe if she had someone she trusted, she wouldn't mind it so much. But if his girl offered, she might consider having her. "I want simple and elegant."

Tally paused for a moment, "So this is going to sound really out there and blunt, but um...are you...gay? Not that you look it. I just...was really hoping...you were..."

Regan walked along with Talulah, her tattoo sounded very nice, Regan wondered what it would be like doing it on her back. But she quickly pushed that thought to the back of her mind. "Sounds like a nice tat" she said simply, swinging the plastic bag back and forth. That soon stopped when the next question came out of the girl's mouth. Regan gave a nervous laugh, slowing her pace.

"Ummm ya" she said simply. She thought she looked gay or at least too boy for anyone to think different. She didn't let everyone know but if they "guessed" then she wouldn't deny it. Regan thought quickly to correct herself though. "Well, unsure, I've been with both but not really too positive on which I like more" she said in one breathe. Her eyes remained down at her shoes as she continued to walk.

"Hm. Well I like girls better for sure. I mean guys are lovely and all, but there's something about being with a girl, about how beautiful she is, how perfect her body is that I love. No guy can compare to the beauty of a woman. It amazes me." Talulah was very open. She was sure that Regan didn't need to know all of this. She had just met her. "I love making them scream." She laughed, making a sexual reference/joke. She hoped Regan was ok with her outlandish nature.

"What are you more into right now?" Please be girls. Please be girls! Please! PLEASE! PLEASE! Please? Tally crossed her fingers behind her back, really wanting it to be that. At the very least she needed a friend. It'd be nice to have one that understood her. No one else did.

Regan's eyes widened slightly but she made sure Tally didn't see when the other girl made her sexual joke. Regan had only been with three guys, and one girl. Out of her "experimenting" she liked girls way more. just more gentle, inviting, warm. It took her a moment before she stuttered to answer. "Umm girls, defiantly..." she said finally looking up to the dark haired girl, God she truly was very pretty. But she'd never go for a girl like Regan would she?.

It took the boyish girl a moment before she asked, kicking a lone can onto the street. "Listen, would it be weird if I could stay with you tonight... I have no where to sleep tonight" she asked hoping to God the girl said yes. "But it's cool if ya don't want me too, ya just me so..." she let her voice trail off.

The girl was just so cute. She was boyish, but just enough girl. She was beautiful in Tally's eyes. Very soft and natural. No junky makeup or face hair or anything. She liked that. Of course she'd go for a girl like Regan. Regan was something new, and Tally liked it.

A huge grin spread across the girl's face as her eyes lit up. How amazing would it be to have this girl at her house? "Well, absolutely. Just let me make sure my parents don't see you." She made a point not to tell her they were foster parents. These ones were actually considering keeping her too. Not if they found out she was sneaking girls into their house though. "I'd love to have you over."

A bright smile came across Regan's face "really, oh my God dude you are too cool" she said in her raspy voice. Before she realized what she did Regan stopped in her tracks, wrapping her arms around Tally's waist hugging her tightly. Regan had been sleeping at her tattoo parlor's co-worker's place for a few nights. he had the balls to ask her for money, she told him hell no, she'd go to a motel. That was what she was planning until she met Tally.

Hesitating Regan let her arms let go of Tally, the girl smelled good, and was warm to her touch. Just like a girl should be, this was too good. As she started to walk again Regan gave a nervous laugh "and what if they did see?" she asked slightly curious as to what would go down.

"They probably will consider not adopting me." She said while smiling. Tally put her arm around Regan's shoulder. She liked this girl. She was touchy. That was good. Touch more baby. "But I don't care. I might just let them see you and say you're a friend staying the night. So let me talk if they ask questions. Chances are they won't even be home."

Tally's hand worked its way to the back of the girls neck where she played with the short hair there. She looked at Regan and grinned. "This'll be fun. I love sleepovers."

Regan laughed at the idea that Tally would let her parents see her. If they did Regan would shut her mouth, letting her "new friend" do that talking. She enjoyed Tally's arm around her, she swallowed though and felt a shiver go up her spine when the girl's fingers started playing with her hair. Sleepover, ya that's what it was, for Regan it was a place to stay for a night. But what was it for Tally?.

She didn't point out the fact that playing with her hair felt great, she cleared her throat "so uhh, where are your real parents?" she asked raising an eyebrow as she looked Tally's way. Regan hoped she wasn't being to prying.
